Mish tweeted, "growing sentiment around baseball and internally with the Marlins is Jose Fernandez will be traded this offseason."

Marlins brass have been contentious with Fernandez's agent Scott Boras.

The dispute has most recently been about outfielder Marcel Ozuna.

The Marlins have control of Fernandez's contract through 2018.

Fernandez returned from Tommy John surgery this year.

Fernandez is not only the team's ace, he's also a fan favorite.

Marlins President David Samson told Local 10: "We do not comment on trade rumors.  Some players are more likely to be traded than others.  Jose fits in the latter category.  His choice of representation is not relevant to this inquiry.  He is a Marlin for at least the next three years and hopefully longer and we look forward to the start of the 2016 season."
