Khan, 36, has been with the Pittsburgh organization since 2001 after starting his NFL career with the New Orleans Saints in 1997.

NFL.com is also reporting that Marc Ross of the Giants and Green Bay's John Schneider will also interview for the GM position left vacant when the team ended its relationship with Jeff Ireland.

On Thursday, sources said Cleveland's Ray Farmer and Tennessee's Lake Dawson were also on the Dolphins list of potential candidates.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross released a statement on Thursday detailing what the team would be looking for in a new GM and acknowledged that the person who fills the position would have full power over the roster and report directly to the owner.
