Tannehill, Philbin answer critics in win

Dolphins crush Raiders in London 38-14

LONDON – The Miami Dolphins responded to a week of adversity with a resounding 38-14 win on Sunday.

The talk all week long was about Ryan Tannehill's status as the starting quarterback and late word that the Dolphins may consider another pursuit of Jim Harbaugh.

Tannehill and Philbin responded on Sunday against the Raiders in front of more than 83,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.

Tannehill was 23-31 for 278 yards, and 2 touchdown passes.

The Dolphins took a second quarter lead over Oakland when Tannehill hit Mike Wallace who broke several tackles on hi way to a 13-yard touchdown.

Miami would never look back.

Lamar Miller had 2 rushing touchdowns.

It was the first career multi-touchdown game for the former Miami Hurricane.

Tannehill's other touchdown pass was a perfect strike to Dion Sims in the endzone.

Tannehill also completed 14 straight passes at one point in the first half.

The Dolphins starting defense was dominant.

The Fins had 3 interceptions.

Cortland Finnegan scooped up a fumble and rumbled 50-yards for a touchdown.

The Fins have a bye next week.

After that, Miami will host the Green Bay Packers.
