MIAMI – A woman has sued the Miami Marlins after the team's mascot allegedly injured her during a baseball game, according to a lawsuit filed by her attorney.
The lawsuit, filed June 12, claims the incident happened June 29, 2013 at Marlins Park.

Beth Fedornak was watching a baseball game at the baseball park three rows up from the field.
During a break in the baseball game, a shark mascot approached Fedornak and pretended to "bite" her on the head as she was sitting her seat. The lawsuit claims Fedornak felt pain in her neck after the impact of the shark's head down on the top of her skull.
Staff members at Marlins Park were notified after the incident.
The lawsuit said Fedornak suffered injuries to her neck, back and extremities, and incurred medical expenses to treat the injuries.
Fedornak and her attorney are suing the team on negligence and battery charges for $15,000.
