Olsen, who is scheduled to graduate before the end of the month, was reportedly driving a black SUV when he hit a tree. Witnesses said that Olsen left the SUV to check on the damage, then returned to the car and struck another vehicle. After exiting the car one more time, Olsen reportedly walked away from the scene.

The paper adds that police reports describe Olsen's face as having blood on it and that he "appeared to be under the influence of something." Olsen is to appear before a municipal court on June 20.

Olsen was ranked 65th in ESPN's Top 150 rankings and committed to play for the Hurricanes, following in the footsteps of his brother Greg who played at UM before being drafted by the Chicago Bears in 2007.
