Trader Joe’s recalls basil due to salmonella concerns

Before you plan your weekend meals, check your fridge for basil you may have purchased at Trader Joe’s. There’s an important recall you should know about.

According to Trader Joe’s website, the company is recalling Infinite Herbs Organic Basil (UPC# 8 18042 02147 7)—sold in 2.5-ounce packages between Feb. 1, 2024 and April 6, 2024, because the product has the potential to be contaminated with salmonella.

The recall included the sale of the herbs in the state of Florida.

On Thursday, the company said customers who purchased the product during the date range, should discard it or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.
